Meet Miss Nicole

A little bit about the Studio principal/creator

My name is Nicole Rodgers and I would love to welcome you to our beautiful Little Groovers family. Thank you for choosing Little Groovers as your dance school and I hope you are as excited about enrolling your child in our classes as I am about teaching this wonderful dance program to them.

I have been involved in dance for 33 years. My own love of dance began at the age of 5 when I attended my first dance class at a local dance school. I was hooked on dance from then on and I went on to study ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary for many years where I completed many exams, competed in many eisteddfods and performed with many dance ensembles both locally and around Australia.

At the age of 14 I was given the opportunity to be a student teacher at my own dance school, and this gave me my first taste of teaching dance. Teaching the little ones within the studio I soon realised how much I loved being able to share my own dance knowledge and how great it was to see how dance brought so much joy to these children.

Upon graduating high school, I decided to focus on the education side of dance and auditioned for a course at the UNSW. I was accepted and spent 4 years studying under some of the best dance teachers in Australia and graduated with a B.Arts (Dance) B.Ed.

After University I spent 5 years teaching Kinda Dance a movement program that was taught within day care centres in the eastern suburbs of Sydney before heading overseas to begin my travels. I was lucky enough to be offered a teaching role as classroom teacher of Pre-Foundation (pre -school) in an International school in Cairo, Egypt and then went on to teach Kindergarten in Thailand.

After 5 years of worldly growth and experience my wonderful partner and I decided to come home to Australia and I started Little Groovers.

Join Miss Nicole for a Little Groovers class today.
